Recurring broken facial capillaries?

About once a month, I wake up with painless but vivid red lines, like scratches, or splotches on my face located on either side between my cheek bone and jaw bone. They fade away in about a week. I think they might be related to compression of my skin against creases on my pillow bedding fabric, but I'm not sure and no one else has ever heard of such a condition. Does anyone have suggestions or should I get ready to feed my deductible??
PS, I'm 55. (Is that it?)
