I am new here. I started getting a rash last November around my buttock and right thigh. Initially I thought it was nummular eczema, although I have never gotten it before. My dermatologist mentioned it may be psoriasis and he prescribed an ointment. That was 4 weeks ago. I went back to him today and he said it looks much better and he reduced the potency of the ointment. Then, since I work in Cancer Research, I mentioned Mycosis Fungoides!!! He then stated because it hasn't completely gone away, he wants to biopsy it. Nice huh? He was content to state it was psoriasis. Now I have to get a biopsy. I am a 30 year old white male. MF is predominately a rare cancer and is mostly seen in older African American men. There are only 1000 new cases worldwide each year. However, because it resemebles psoriasis and eczema, I am of course concerned. Does anyone have any insight???
