Hi there
I wonder if anyone can help me please, I think I am going insane.
Does this sound like an allergic reaction to you?

About a week ago my whole body started itching all over intensely with no apparent rash. I was itching from scalp to toe. So I got some piriton & eurax which didnt help. After a sleepless night I went to the drop in centre & they prescribed some other anti allergy pills and calamine lotion. These didnt help. So then last sunday, I went back to drop in centre & got steroid cream which didnt help at all, infact I think all of it together was making it worse.
So, after a bath which made my skin feel like I'd got into a bath of acid, I didnt take any more and the itching seemed to ease.
Its been over a week since and I am still itching, only it seems to more localised now - back, scalp, neck & throat, chest, bra area, knicker area & behind my knees & forehead. There also now seems to be a few small bumps where the itch is radiating from.
At first I thought it was from Stevia, so stopped that, then I thought maybe Soy so have stopped any soy, but only since last night.
I did take more piriton today and the itching seemed bearable until this afternoon, after I ate a bowl of oats made with water, a banana, some nuts & a nectarine. Now I am itching insanely again, even though I have taken piriton.
I have had no milk today but noticed there is lactose in the anti allergy tabs.
Can you suddenly develop an allergy like this?

Please help!

  • I suggest you post some pictures of the bumps. Do you own cats or have you been around any cats?
