I've been told by my skin doctor i have Pityriasis Versicolour as i have 2 large white patches on my back.
i've gone through a series of antibiotics and used Nizoral cream. Now i've been given the cream Diprosone OV Cream to use and been told the only way to cure is by sunbathing. Is there anything else I can do or should i get another medical opinion?
I'm really worried as its been over a year since i've had the patches and i am getting married next year and feel self conscious of my back.
Your advice is greatly appreciated. thanks.

  • I have 3 white patches on my back. I've been doing research online to try to figure out what they are. After seeing your posting, I will try to see a dermatologist. On another note, I just got married this summer and had these three patches on my back. I wore a veil that covered my back, and no one could see the patches.

  • I think getting a prescription for Spectazle cream (antifungal med), using it twice a day for 2 wks would do wonders for you-hope it helps.
