hello i am a 19 year old male and i play college football and i stay active. i have been smoking cigarettes for 8 years. this past august i started experiencing a sensation throughout my back that is similar to pins and needles simultaneously stabbing me. i feel the sensation on a daily basis. i usually get a hot flash whenever i feel the sensation but it is not true for every time it happens. my back does get red and somewhat hot. i do feel it every time i get in the shower but ive also experienced it in the cold weather. this may be irrelevant but i also have white spots that appear all over both arms. and my skin takes a couple of seconds to return from white to its normal color when i press on it, and this is true for my entire body. about a week ago i was having a horrible caughing fit and about fifteen minutes after i stopped caughing my heart started hurting with every beat and when i felt my ribs underneath my underarm it felt like my heart was about to jump out. this lasted for 10-15 minutes. i dont know if any of this is related but i didnt want to leave anything out. any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thanks. if you need to know anything else ill be happy to answer questions.

  • can someone please help me or atleast give me an ideaI know this isn't very much help, but I found this by searching about the pins and needles. For about the last 5 hours I've had this feeling and I get the hot flashes with it too. It's very strange but I just thought I'd add that I don't smoke so its not due to that. Also you mentioned that it takes awhile for your skin to return its colour after you touch it, that IS because you smoke. Slow blood flow (thats what that is) is because of smoking, if you want it to go away, try quitting.Hopefully I helped some and hopefully someone knows something about the hot pins and needles in the back.
