Petechiae or not?

About a week ago, I got a very bad case of food poisoning.. which caused me to vomit quite a bit.

After it passed, I noticed a whole bunch of tiny red dots that seem to have spread all across my face.. specifically my cheeks and nose. There are also a few on the sides of my face.

At first I thought it could be petechiae, but I was told they would go away in a few days. Long story short, they haven't.

Could this be something else? I look like I have a sunburn =/
