Recently a friend is complaining of numb lips and feeling light headed. He went to the doctor and his EKG, blood pressure, and pulse was normal. He made an appointment for lung xrays and an MRI of the head. He was sent home with Zyrtec. He still has the numb lips and light headed feeling. What do you think? He won't go to the emergency room, where I explained that all the tests would be performed at once, rather than wait for all the tests to be done over the course of two weeks and wait for the results.

  • Check Lyme disease. The best test is Western blot as typically ordered Elisa is often false negative.
