I am hoping you can answer several question which have been in my mind for many years. I have a birthmark which is on my left leg. I’ve looked on the internet but, cannot find out what type it is?
I would love to be able to wear shorts and go on beach and wear shorts etc., but I’ve always been too embarrassed. The birthmark always becomes very white in cold weather and, especially when in contact with cold water.
I have been told by people, that there is a risk of cancer with certain types of birthmarks in later life and, that I should have it checked by a GP.
Also, can the birthmark be removed by laser treatment; this is something which I would seriously consider and if so, would it leave any scars, or would they fade? Also, if it could be removed, would it ever come back?
Any help would put my mind at rest.
I thave taken some pictures of my birthmark. Here they are. (3 photos)
