I was diagnosed with molluscum contagiousum in June. I noticed the bumps in my pubic region and went to the doctor. I had just been there 3 weeks prior and was diagnosed with mono. My doctor told me that they could treat it with freezing if i wanted but recommended not going that way. he told me to use a home freezing method which i did. however everytime i began to heal from the burns i would notice new bumps growing in different area. about a month ago i noticed the bumps begining to form on the bottom area of my penis. I burnt those off and the burn has yet to heal. It has been oozing. i cant get it to heal because if i get an erection whatever was starting to heal gets stretched and ripped apart and the process begins over. I just recently started putting lotion on the area thats healing but will this cause easier spread of the molluscum? Also i will wake up at night, scratching my genitals because they itch. It seems like this is never going to end and im scared that it is going to spread around my body. If i touch a bump or anything on my body i feel the urge to wash my hands and i get scared of touching my body. The worst part about it is that i constantly get down on my self and think i have the worst luck because i only slept with one person, on one occasion. I recently started using a creme(Triaz, benzoyle peroxide) because i have lost hope in burning them off. This creme was not perscribed to me for my diagnosis, is it safe to use? I noticed a small bump begining to grow on the tip of my penis and decided to use it and within 2 days of using it, it looks as if the bump has resided.
