  • I have had a frustrating time - every doctor I saw did not know what I had. They tested me for liver, gout, kidney, had me take a lung capacity test..... Did all sorts of blood work. I had been feeling ill, felt uncomfortable to take a deep breath, and then had a big lump on the bottom, front part of my shin. Then my feet and ankles became very swollen, and red, almost hot to the touch and very painful to walk on. Finally I read about erythema nodosum on the internet and took the picture in of someone affected with this on their feet. I said this describes what I have. They said they didn't think so but after all the tests they said I had erythema multiforme - but later I had nodules on my feet, ankles and shins that were very painful to touch. Help me! no one seems to know what I have and what I should do. I have an appt. with a dermotologist but it has taken 2 months to get in. In the mean time I am doing much better, but it does seem to flare up a little now and then.
