Lumps on fingers.

I am probably over reacting by posting this, but I was just curious about what this could be.

Quite recently I have started getting red lumps on the joints of my fingers. Currently, I have one on the top joint of the smallest finger on my right hand and roughly four on the bottom joint of the middle finger on my left hand.
They aren't the only ones that I have had. A few have appeared on my fingers before and went away. They didn't always appear right on the joint, but to the side of it as well.
They are small, red lumps that look kind of like bites, but I am nearly certain that they aren't bites.

The one on my smallest finger seems to be going away now, but it is taking longer than usual. It's not itchy at the minute, but it used to be and it still looks slightly swollen. A very tiny cut is starting to appear on it, like it is starting to crack.

The ones on my middle finger haven't gotten itchy yet and they haven't started to swell. But, it hurts slightly when I bend my finger. One of the lumps isn't actually right on the joint, it is just above it.

There seems to be another one forming on the same smallest finger but not actually on the joint. It's just beside it. Almost on the other side of my finger.

Any ideas?
