Localized Scleroderma

I was recently diagnosed with localized scleroderma morphea in the early stages. However, after reading about limited scleroderma I realized I have several of those symptoms. Are the two related? My rhumatologist wants to see me again in six months. I have been experiencing swollen fingers, dry eyes, blanched hands and a red spot that was removed from my leg as a basal cell carcinoma. Was wondering if the localized scleroderma is a symptom of limited scleroderma?

  • You need to keep a record of all your symptoms so when you return to the doctor you can let him know what's happening to you. He will be able to better diagnosis you. Don't worry yourself by thinking things are worse than what they are, just be aware of what your body is doing. I believe it's possible to have limited scleroderma symptoms and morphea.
