I have had generalized itching everywhere almost all the time for 3 months now, it started following a sexual encounter on a trip abroad. I had itching in the groin which soon spread to the entire body. I do not have lesions or rash and no real visible signs. The best way to describe the feeling is like a wooley sweater that is irritating to the skin but that feeling everywhere.

I'm a 32 yr old male with have no other health problems except lack of sleep from this (I usually wake between 4-5 with sweaty legs feeling hot)

This thing is driving me into despair and depression I am on my own, told no-one and have sucidal thoughts. I have been to 4 doctors, a dermatologist and a chinese medicene man so far.

I've tried permethrin 5% cream 5 times, supplements (grapefruit seed extract, garlic extract, quericene and vitimin D3) tried and still trying nightly baths in Borax and products from safe2use.com even accupunture but still not solved it.

If this sounds familiar or you have cracked something like this Please Please let me know how.

Red Skin Bumps When red colored skin bumps form it can be from a multitude of causes including developing pimples or acne, insect bites, eczema, chicken pox, psoriasis, folliculitis, and shingles but the most common reason for red skin bumps is your body reacting to an allergy. Allergies that cause red skin bumps range from food or medicine based allergies to pollen, dust mites or mold. Colorless Skin Bumps Colorless skin bumps are often insect bites but can also be developing acne or signs of problems underneath the skin. If the colorless bump itches then it is likely a mosquito bite or an allergy. If the bump is hard it may be a cyst or nodule under the skin. If the bump is under the skin you may want to get a biopsy if the bump is changing in size or reoccurring. Puss Filled Skin Bumps If you have skin bumps that are filled with puss it is important to determine the color of the puss. If it is clear puss then it might be eczema or a blister. If it is blood filled puss then it might be psoriasis or a bug bite. If it is white puss then it might be acne. If it is yellow puss it might be herpes or a bacterial or viral infection.

  • Itchy Skin No Rash: CausesThe condition of itchy skin is known as pruritus. The foremost cause of 'itchy skin no rash' problem is skin dryness. It is medically termed as xerosis. Dry skin is not a serious medical condition but its symptoms can be quite uncomfortable and uneasy. It involves shriveling of plump cells, which in turn causes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dry skin is less seen but more felt. It feels stretched and taut. It appears shrunken or dehydrated. Dry skin looks rough, flaking, peeling and scaling. If dryness has taken a serious form, the skin itches too. The itching may range from mild to intense. Thus, dryness of skin may be a possible reason behind the condition of 'itchy skin no rash'.Another probable cause of itching of skin without any visible rash is scabies. It is a skin condition which is caused by tiny burrowing mite known as Sarcoptes scabiei. The action of this mite causes intense itching in the part of the body where it is present. It gives you a strong urge to scratch the skin, which is particularly more during night. Thus, you may hold scabies to be responsible for your condition of 'itchy skin no rash at night'. Scabies is highly contagious in nature. It spreads from person to person through the shared materials. Apart from the two main reasons described in the above paragraph, itching of the skin can occur as a result of some medical conditions. They include poor circulation of blood and a malfunctioning kidney or liver.
