i have this rash all over my body. it started as a few little bumps that kind of looked like pimples or mosquito bites. they itched like ***l. i thought it was just something that was irratating my skin. the next morning i woke up and it had spead all over my arm. i couldnt help scratching because it made it feel so much better but i wound up scatching them open. by day 3 it was all over both of my arms and on my lower back. i went to the doctors and he looked at it for like 2 seconds and said it was scabies. he gave me this cream to put on it at night and wash off when i woke up. he said that would kill any mites. scabies is supposedly very contagious. the morning after i did the cream there were more spots all on my legs. day 5 there were bumps on my stomach and starting on my face. i went to the er and they told me they didnt know what was causing this and blew it off as nothing serious. they gave me another cream and steroids. i thought it was working because it kind of looked lighter than the original red but the next morning i had like 5 more big blotches on my face. my ear was swollen with blisters on it and a huge patch going up my side and a small patch starting on my breast. i dont know what this can be. and i am really getting upset about this. i previously had shingles and it kind of looks similar but it doesnt follow the criteria. and someone said it looked like chicken pox but i had that when i was like 2. if anyone can help...

Mine started about a two months ago. It started as two little bumps on my ankle and it went crazy after that. It spread to my legs, arms, back, neck, feet, and even my ear. The bumps are small in size, no definate pattern. It was the worst on my calf because it was a cluster of bumps and the skin around it was swollen. Now my legs don't itch as much as when it first started. My arms are the worst. It looks like I had the chicken pox times 10. I have scars and open wounds from where I have scratched and scratched the scab off from the areas that were trying to heal. It is annoying because it wakes me up at night. I stay away from hot water cause that makes it worst. This is my 3rd time going to the dr. about the problem. They don't know what it is but basically they told me that it was something systemic going on in my body. I am having a reaction from something that I am ingesting. I am on prednisone, hydroxyzine, and ranitidine for the next 3 weeks. They told me that it will take that long for it to clear up and treat whatever my body is allergic too. The downside is that because I don't know what is causing the problem after I take the meds it could return because I put the "toxic agent" in my body. I am now cutting things out of my diet until it clears up. I am allergic to something and I t could be the same issue with you as well. The hard part is to figure out what it is and eliminate it. Hope this helps
