I have acne and really long hair, which I wash twice a week. I have a lot of dandruff. I always tie my hair in a ponytail.
I'm a 17 yr/f.
I've had a really itchy scalp and really oily hair for many years. I'm always scratching at it. It itches the day after I wash it and I usually wash my hair at night. It starts smelling after about 2 days. It's an oily smell. When I scratch at it, sometimes i get white hard pieces that feel like sand. They're all over in my hair. Sometimes, i don't even have to scratch and i ccan find them. Some of them form an enclosure around a strand of hair, but most of them are near the root of the strand. Some pieces of hair that i accidentally scratch out, will have a bit of white coating at the root area. If I scratch at it, it comes off. In some areas on my head, if i squeeze the place, a fat glob comes out. It's so annoying. I can't stop scratching at it because it's so itchy. Does anyne know what's wrong? Is there any homemade treatments?

I have only used it twice so far and it has helped the itching problem but I have not noticed a difference yet in my oily hair. I found a separate hair product online which is called Oily Hair and Scalp Kit which is supposed to help regulate oil production which I am going to try as well. I will let you know how that goes. Best of luck to you!

  • Maybe try washing your hair more! You only wash it twice a week, when you should wash at LEAST 3-4 times a week.
