ok im an 18 year old girl

i have some scars from spots - on my cheek and at the side of my face

was recommended Bio-oil to remove the scars

used it a lottt during the last 2 weeks and it seemed to make a slight difference

stopped using it for about 3 days.

yesterday tried to use a hair removal cream thing on my upper lip.

usually have no problems with using this but yesterday it tingled sooo bad so i stopped using it immediately and now i have red marks there

the skin around my cheeks and under my mouth has become completely dry, almost scaly like.

the skin here feels really really TIGHT and painful when i open my mouth really wide because i can feel all the dry skin sort of "crackling"

really look terrible at the moment, should have done NOTHING to my skin! im silly, i know!

if i apply some kind of moisturiser to the dry area, it just tingles and i feel a burning sensation

what do i do? just leave it and hope it goes away?

my mum thinks i should leave it and stop using ANY chemicals, including clearasil which is usually fine, and just wash my face with water only for the next few days?

any advice or help would be really really really useful!

its 12.45am and im resorting to internet forums - shows how desperate i am!

i would love you forever!

  • i'm not sure where you live, but if you are able to get Lucas' Pawpaw Ointment it would work wonders in relieving the stinging and for quick healing. I live in New Zealand and it is an Australian product. I had the same thing happened to me when I used a product called 'Marianna' or something. Put it on my upper lip and caused a red rash that stung badly, flaked, scabbed, and finally healed. It got so dry that I too couldnt open my mouth wide without more painful cracking. I had my uni orientation day the day after I foolishly tampered with my face. I can still remember the pain of the sun burning my lip!
