i have a itching problem thats driving me crazy. i itch badly down around the inside of my panty legs. oh my goodness!!!! i thought it was the detergent so i changed. that didn't work. the skin is very dry so i tried using a lotion but that did not work. i have purchased way too many anti-itch creams that have not helped me at all. now it seems to be spreading to my outer private area. give me a home remedy or something people. or is a doctors visit my only recourse. i use the mildest soap (ivory). what could be causing this problem? help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • For a temporary releif try placing oatmeal in an old pair of panty hose, and placing that in a bath of warm water and soak.I would go to see your doctor just to make sure you dont have anything serious and if he/she thinks its allergies then he/she can send you to someone who can do allergy testing for you.Good luck!

  • Some years ago I had a "free" blood sugar test which was on offer at a rural show & the test showed a high reading. They asked me a number of questions about symptoms & one was did I suffer from itchy skin.In fact I had been thinking about going to a Doctor as it was getting worse. At the time I was under a lot of stress in my life & I wasn't leading a healthy lifestyle, but eventually things got back on track, my blood sugar level returned to normal & my itching stopped.I guess itching skin could be caused by many things, but may I suggest you get your blood sugar checked so can rule that problem out.

  • Stop using any type of soap in those ithchy areas.I have eased my own itching skin these past two nights with rubbing in emu oil. I don't know if I am allergic to something or whether it is related to my insulin resistance syndrome. I get mosquito like sting itch, absolutely maddening, on my mid arms and back and it has been getting progressively worse. It is a good suggestion from one of the posts here to have your sugar levels checked, or a glucose tolerance test (GTT) to check out both glucose and insulin levels. An imbalance in either or both of these can do some really strange and not so wonderful things to the body. Normal glucose readings will not necessarily mean normal insulin by the way.And allergy check.Emu oil us used by Australia's Aborigines for all types of things. i am going to buy some emu oil tablets later as it is less messy.Agape,Searchingsam
