I have been diagnosed with GA which I've had over 3 years. My doc said most people with a healthy immune system can get rid of it within weeks. However, auto immune diseases run in my family and she essentially told me that because my immune system is in the toilet, it is taking me longer. I've done a battery of steroids including prednisone, clobetesol cream and foam. My skin is becoming very thin. This may seem irrelevant, but I'm an alcoholic. To my dismay, after I stopped drinking vodka a couple weeks ago, my skin has completely cleared up. I have been drinking consistently for years until now. Just wanted to post this in case alcohol could be a factor for anyone else with GA.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
