I was diagnosed with granuloma annulare with a biopsy. The last few months I have been getting circular spots on my tongue as well as numerous very painful cold sores. My dermatologist was baffled by my tongue saying it's not something you see with granuloma. I also seem to be getting sicker than before and am constantly tired. I am only 29 and am sick of the dark circles under my eyes lol. Is granuloma related to anything else? My tongue is the worst part, it gets very painful. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  • There's a big, long post somewhere around here all about GA. I have it too. :( Try using the search bar at the top to find the thread if you want to hear about other people's woes in this regard and get treatment suggestions. To my knowledge, GA is only mildly (and erroneously) associated with diabetes. I'm tired all the time too, however, and I have extremely dark circles under my eyes (though not puffiness). My doctors have never connected these.I've never heard of it being associated with anything to do with your tongue......but people get lesions on seemingly all body parts, why not the tongue? Seems like an inconvenient place....I'm sorry. I hope they can help you with this. What did the Dermatologist prescribe?

  • Hey, I don't know if its what you have but I have something called geographic tongue- you can take B-vitamins for it (but only in the morning since they do pump you up). It looks basically like a little bit of your tongue is raw... google it. Super easy to treat!
