I'm really happy to come across this thread. I have a few questions for all of you and a few observations. First off I think I got this about 6 weeks ago and I was diagnosed about 3 weeks after that. At first I just didn't think it was anything since I always use a condom. I continued to be sexually active until i knew something was wrong when it spread. After getting diagnosed I then had all 16 (that's how many the doc said I had) removed. A week prior he said he saw around 30 so he said I was naturally fighting them off. He cut them out but wow it was painful. After I had them removed he said I should be cured and in 2 weeks everything will be back to normal.
About a week later I broke out with a few more about 4 on my shaft. I went to a 2nd doctor and had those frozen. At this point I don't see any new ones. Since about a week ago I have completely stopped masturbation and I noticed that I don't have any new ones. Or at least the rate of them showing up has decreased a lot. Has anyone else had the same experience. I know it's unrealistic to go for months without it but it's not really that hard. If you don't irritate them then my understanding is it is very hard to spread.
A few questions. How long if treated by a doctor does it usually take for it all to go away if they are only in the groin area? I know it varies for a lot of people but on average i'm curious what other people's experience is. I'm not using any creams, lotions, popping them myself, shaving etc for fear of spreading it. I'd say the worst part is the phycological aspect of not being able to be with someone until this is completely gone. It seems that whenever you are unable to be physical with someone is when you have more opportunities. I have to keep coming up with excuses to not be physical with women or pursuing them. It's by far the worst part about this. Any information or shared experiences would really be great.
