Hi,

I have noticed two spots between my crotch just behind my testicles. There was one first about a month ago and then a second spot appeared. Does it look like Molluscum? I hope its not, but i cant really find any information about anything else it could possibly be. Hope someone can help.

I have taken a photo below.

  • Either that or herpes. Get a blood test for herpes2 or get that scraped and analyzed.

  • im going to go and get it checked out soon. I dont think its herpes as i havent had sex for about a year now. Could it still be herpes or molluscum if that is the case?

  • absolutely...men can have it for years without any symptoms at all...you may need to be checked for: Lymphogranuloma venereumhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lymphogranuloma_venereumMake sure you insist on lab work to rule out herpes. Many doctors just glance at it and say it doesn't look like it instead of doing the lab work.

  • My 5 Year Old Had C-r-a-z-y- Molluscum. We Went To The Derm And Could Not Afford The Treatments (4 Were Suggested.) I Researched Natural Treatments And Found One That Was Very Expensive But Only Contained Two Ingredients, One Of Which Was Tea Tree Oil. I Went To Whole Foods And Bought An $8.00 Bottle Of Tea Tree. I Began Applying It Morning And Night To All Affected Skin With A Q-tip. The Healed Insanely Fast. The Tea Tree Doesn't Smell Good, But Is A Widely Known Anti-viral, Anti-fungal, Anti- Biotic, And All Around Natural Healer. In 11 Days They Had All Either Completely Healed Or Had Become A Scab On It's Way To Complete. Healing, This Was 4 Weks Ago And No More Molluscum. It Is Just Gone. The Process Was Painless!!!!!! And We Only Used Two Bottles Of The Stuff For A Grand Total Of $16.00 . Wow. The Derm Wanted 180 Per Treatment Plus Alot Of Prescribed Meds For Pain Etc... I Hope This Helps / Works For Some Of You . If It Does Pass It On. I Am So Stoked To Have Conqured This Crazy Rash So Naturally And Cost Efficiently. Tea Tree Is The Bomb. Did I Mention It Was Painless????? The Molluscum Will Come To A Head , Bleed, And Then Scab Over And Heal. That Was The Sequence Of Events We Witnessed. Good Luck To All. Save Yourselves, Time, Money, And Pain.

  • I doubt it's molluscum. If you've had it for long enough without any treatment it will develop into a classic lesion with the dimple on top. It does look like it a little but it could be something else. Best to get it check out by a derm. Also if it hurts when you rub it it's definitely not molluscum. Molluscum is itchy but painless to the touch. Acne is painful so it could be acne.

  • Try 10% benzoyl peroxide. Apply 2 times a day. I just bought clerasil cream for daughter and worked like a charm in like 4 weeks. I wish doctors would tell you this!
