I have had EAC for several years accompanied by severe pain in my joints and muscles. I recently went for homeopathic treatment which lasted for about 9 months. A very detailed history is taken and it's a relief to be listened to! I suffer from multiple allergies and also have IBS - I am certain there is a connection to being an allergy and IBS sufferer and EAC. When I first consulted my GP I was given antiviral drugs for Herpes Zoster (Shingles). My outbreaks also seemed to come most severely around November/December time. My homeopathic treatment desensitised me to the antiviral drug and also to the pneumovax vaccintation which I was sure had something to do with it. I was completely free from rash and pain for a year. I then had my annual flu jab and yes - it was back with avengance. I am now getting desensitised to the flu jab and hopefully that will be the end of it. The pain associated with EAC is greatly underestimated in the medical world. Several people on this site suffer with joint/muscle pain and it is so debilitating and frustrating and of course we are always asked, " are you depressed." NO I am not depressed! Yes, I am weary of constant pain and lethargy but not depressed. If all your various tests etc have come back clear, think back to your very first outbreak of EAC and try to remember anything that happened in the preceeding 2 months, a jab, a tablet, food...hopefully you may find the answer there. Good luck to everyone.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
