Hello, for about a month now I've had this constant body itching. It started where I would get itching to the back and inner part of the thighs and also my **m. There was no redness there until I scratched it. I have dermographism but it has never before caused my skin to itch, I used to get bumps on my arms from it but never any itching so I don't think it's that. It was usually only bad at night time. Recently it seems to have worsened where my full body now itches basically constantly. It begins to itch, so I scratch it and then because of my dermographism it goes bumpy and gets itchier and it's an endless cycle! Getting to sleep is a chore as I notice it more due to less distractions than during the day.

I had previously been ill before the itching began. I had at first cold like symptoms, which then devolved into a violent cough. I had this for about a month but it cleared up and then I had a closed throat where I was short of breath and if I laughed I choked. That had cleared and shortly after that the itching began. I'm not sure if it's any relevance.

Other than that the only thing that has changed is my diet and exercise, my diet has gotten a lot worse recently with high sugary drinks and fatty foods and much less excercise than I usually do. I've tried washing all my clothes and stripping my sheets, none of which have worked. In abit clueless at what it could be, I'm going to the doctors later this week, but has anyone got any idea what it could be? I'm 19 by the way.

Below I have attatched two pictures, the 1st being what my leg looks like about 5 mins after scratching and the 2nd what my inner thigh looks like after 4 weeks of contsant scratching.

  • Hello! I have dermatographism as well and chronic urticaria. Urticaria is common with dermatographism and can come and go. I was diagnosed 3 years ago and I truely believe it was brought on by stress. My allergist told me to take zyrtec everyday. I can usually get by with half of a zyrtec unless I am having a bad flare up. Sometimes I can go 2 months without antihistamines but it never fails, it comes back. You can also try claritin or benadryl. If they make you drowsy, see if taking it before bed will control your symptoms through the next day. I find that for myself, zyrtec is best. Good luck!

  • Sweet child. Start by purchasing an MMS kit from MMS.org and a hot water bottle and gallons of distilled water to have on hand and doing MMS enemas to cleanse your gut. You will be amazed. Stop with all sugar completely. Do this several hours after eating and do it daily. Only use 5 drops to start because your body can't handle anymore, then increase the drops as you can tolerate. Also taking a 2 drop oral dose before you cleanse is a good idea. Master Mineral Solution.org. Don't pay attention to the haters.. not sure who pays them but anybody who ever actually your took MMS would never write such things because it will save your life. I've been using it on myself and family and friends since 2010 and I'll never be without it. It kills all harmful pathogens. Period. You can use it for everything and it will work. Read his free ebook, their is a blog too with tons of positive information. You can also take baths in it.. low dose to start.

  • Maybe you have scabies. Try mixing ground cloves and vaseline together, then apply on the affected area. However, do not put it on the private area! Ground cloves are a natural microbial, antifungal, and antiseptic solution. Good luck.
