I have had a painful chronic paronychia infection on the side of my nail for about 2 months now. I initailly was perscribed Keflex to treat any bacteria but the infection remains. I was also told to use Clotrimizole ointment on it in the morning and evening. That doesn't seem to help the infection at all. I never knew a small fungal infection could be so persistant. I also try apple cider vinegar soaks to no avail. Can someone please give me any info as to what to do?
