  • I started having what we call "flushing" which is red, hot, dry and slightly swelling of the knees (at first only the left one but now when ever and area starts to flush it happens bilaterally. It started in the knees and now happens at the elbows, wrists and my face on the cheeks only. Once when it was particularly bad it was on my chest too. It isn't welted. The joints feel tight and I am using them less because the heat makes them hurt. Nothing helps. I have a sinus infection and am on the only antibiotic for me. The sensation is like a heating pad on high that I can not cool except by putting a fan on it directly and for a long time. I have used wet towels but I tend to dry them as if they are in a drier. 15 doctors have examined this condition and everyone said I needed a Rhumatologist. I went and he said I needed Mayo clinic. The doc did RA testing but I was on steroids which skewed the results, today I went to get them redone so I will update. This hurts and I am on morphine.
