Help! 3 months ago everything was fine, no symptoms.
then in November i started noticing that my nose would turn red in the evening at work (with no pain or discomfort). i thought this was simply blushing, since my job entails speaking in front of people. this redness would stay with me for about 3 hours.
in December a new symptom started showing up with my red nose; my cheeks started burning without turning red. it was more on the left cheek than the right. i researched these symptoms and assumed i had rosacea, but then, i got another symptom i havent seen many rosacea suffers report. my cheeks have been burning less when i have an episode, but my nose still turns red and the new symptom is now it has started throbbing/pulsing. this is very painful even more than the burning was. it becomes hard to breath through my nose and very sensitive to touch. ice helps for short periods.
some interesting things:
this happens every time i lay down to go to sleep, and sometimes when i sit for long periods
im not sure but i think stuffy/warm rooms may trigger it too
walking around sometimes makes this go away
episodes last from 1hr - all night (have had multiple episodes in 1 day)
i have a history of high anxiety and panic attacks
since these new symptoms started showing up im not sure if this is rosacea anymore. can anyone with rosacea please tell me if they have had similar experiences:
quick onset of symptoms (2months)
no pimples/pustules/blood vessels on surface of skin
burning cheeks/painful throbbing/pulsing red nose
