My mother has 3 large deep red blood blisters suddenly appear on her lower legs. They range in size between a 20p piece and a 50p piece. She is 80 years old, has a heart condition, it is enlarged and also has an irregular heartbeat and is taking medication, including Warfarin for that. She also has COPD and taking medication for that also. Her legs and ankles are also very swollen, but they have been for several years and she is taking medication for that also. Neither the blisters or swelling is causing her any pain at all.
We do have a doctors appointment for next week, but in the meantime any idea what the problem could be?
