My husband and I returned from the Dominican Republic one week ago. A few days after getting home, my husband noticed he had a blister on the pad of one of his fingers. It remained for a few days and then dried up and seemed to be healing now, although he says it is still a bit painful. Four days after returning home, I noticed a small red bump on my ring finger, just above (medial to) the knuckle. I thought it was an ingrown hair and tried to squeeze it. It only hurt when I did that. By the next evening, it had turned into a blister, a it kept draining clear fluid and then re-blistering. Three days later, (yesterday) it stopped blistering and is now just bright red, raw looking skin and painful. There is still a bit of blister around the edge on one side. It has never itched and I never noticed anything bite me. I have tried putting aloe Vera or lanacane, an anti-itch/burn cream on, both provide temporary relief. Does anyone know what this is caused by? Treatment? Thank you so much for your help!

  • Try oil of garlic. Put some on a cotton ball and tape it to the sore. IT has antibacterial properties and if it is viral or bacterial it will draw the toxins out and help it heal faster. 2-4 cloves of garlic are equal to one adult dose of antibiotic except viral and bacterial infections have not seemed to become immune to it. Oil of garlic can be purchased in any herbal store. As the toxins come out wipe them off will the cotton ball and reaply fresh oil and cotton ball.
