Early july 2010 I noticed bumps in the genital area and my mom being a nurse said its ingrown hairs bc I used to shave. I am a worrying type of person so I got checked out at planned parenthood-she quickly discovered they were molliscum w/no biopsy. I went to a Gyno and he said it was foliculitis (infected ingrowns) and to treat it with sitz bath 2-3 times a day and blow dry the area after to keep clean of moisture and bacteria. This treatment seemed to work, the bumps cleared up for about 3 weeks, then returned. These bumps were starting to spread to my butt cheeks so I quickly made another appt. W/the same doctor and he said the same thing-foliculitus and made a follow up 3 months from that date w/a different doctor.(idk why a different doctor) I then Made a appt. W/ a new gyno last Wednesday (6 days ago) And I had her cut off one of the bumps for a biopsy. I noticed on the frontal genital area more bumps (by where she cut one off) and no more bumps on the left cheek but more on the right and closer to the hole. I am extremely uncomfortable w/this virus, I HATE going to the bathroom because it seems like there is always more! I'm going on Month 5 now and my gyno reccomends I let them go away naturally but id do anything to just make them go away! If anyone knows a cure that worked for them PLEASE let me know, and thank you so much for the help in advance.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
