For the past year, I have been watching the growth of what appears to be some type of tumor on my arm. I have an appointment to see a dermatologist on Jan 28th, but my nerves are getting the best of me...
I noticed the tumor about a year ago, and have watched it grow larger and larger (it is now larger than a dollar coin). It is not circular in shape, rather looks with a "3". It has differences in color across the presentation ranging from darker purple to light pink. The mark also has a topography ranging from smooth to bumpy - with the worst (darkest and most palpiable) feeling like a small pea-sized lump underneath the skin.
I have a positive familial history of skin cancer, but am in excellent health (26 years old).
My fiance teases me saying that when it counts down to "1" he'll take me to see a specialist. :)
If anyone in the dematology specialty could take a peek at my pictures I would greatly appreciate it!
