My Husband was recently diagnosed with Malignant melanoma but then a 2nd pathologist said that the mole is actually Spitz Nevus which is totally benign. It seems by my research that Spitz nevus is typically in children and on the face or legs. My husband is 37 and the mole is on his arm. Has anyone had this confusion before and if so how did you find the truth?

They finally determined it was melanoma after contacting a specialist in Spitz Nevus from Ohio. My slides have gone from Chicago, Mayo, California, and Ohio to determine their nature. You can read about my story on my blog.http://kiddieconnection.blogspot.com/
