I am in south East Asia and have just been diagnosed with Chancroid. I have now read up on it and am very scared to find that offen if people are infected with this 'rare' STD then there is a high chance of also being infected with HIV as well.
I have read that if you are infected with HIV and get chancroid then you will most likely get more ulcers and bigger ones too, also that they will be more difficult to get rid of. However my question is this does this also apply if you were infected with HIV at the SAME TIME as the chancroid infection. Or only if you have already had HIV for some time??
Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.
