What damage can anal penetration cause in a male? What are the health risks?

5 days ago I made a mistake and got a massage from a backpage escort. She gave me a handjob and used a toy wrapped with a condom to penetrate me anally. I am a heterosexual male and this was my first time being penetrated. I was not relaxed during this process and it appeared that she was rather rough with the anal. Two times I had a sharp piercing pain occur. This was the first time I ejaculated in a month and in addition to the prostate massage it was the most I have ever released.

I talked to experts on other forums and they said that this contact was no risk for any STDs/STIs. I have an appointment with my doctor so I can do blood work to be sure.

I tried to do research about the risks involving anal with a toy but I couldn't find any information. My particular symptoms are my perineum is sore, my testicles are achy, my anal opening sometimes feels raw, and my urethra is irritated. I am peeing without pain, ejaculating without pain, and I have no blood or discharge from either my penis nor my anus.

When I got home I washed my genital area several times over the next 48 hrs with various soaps. I am wondering if this irritated my urethra or I possibly got a UTI somehow? However with the perineum pain, testicle pain, and raw anal opening I am wondering if this is bruised damage from the anal and I will heal soon or if something more serious (an infection or internal damage) occurred. Like I said I tried to look everywhere and I couldn't find information regarding my specific symptoms. Is the pain in the perineum connected to my pain in my testicles? Could this be linked to the urethra as well? Can I get a UTI simply from an anal toy with a condom rubbing against my prostate? Or a UTI from washing my penis too much?

I am worried sick that something serious has happened and it would mean a lot to me to hear some advice.

  • I am not a doctor...but, I have...some experience in this. You are sore because she was to rough and didn't make sure you were "ready". The irritation is more than likely from all the washing and cleaning. If you don't normally wash so much and so often it can and will cause irritation. As long as you are not bleeding or in serious pain...don't sweat it. It isn't for everyone...and I don't suggest that you do it all the time (the sphincter can get over stretched).
