What's wrong w/ me???

I'm really confused as to what's wrong w/ me. I just recently had very bad lower abdominal pain (in the middle and where my ovaries are located), felt like I was cramping, w/ frequent urination w/ nothing but squirts coming out.

I got this looked at before (few months ago) and they found an ovarian cyst in my right ovary and a urinary tract infection. Gave me some meds and I was fine.

Well now this same problem (pain and frequent feeling like I have to urinate) happened right before I started menstruation.. and once I started.. the pain only worsened.. to the point where it made me cry.

What I noticed about my menstruation that's different (this started during last months cycle).. I seemed to start cramping a day or 2 before I start bleeding.. and when I started bleeding.. it only lasted an hour.. stopped for the rest of the day.. and then finally was somewhat regular the next few days..(but stopped every now and then) but I also noticed it's been lasting a day or 2 longer than it should but w/ only very very light bleeding if any at all.

The abdominal pain finally stopped but I still feel like I have to urinate constantly and nothing but squirts come out.. I also have really bad pain during intercourse.

So any idea what's wrong w/ me????

  • Are you taking any birth control pills or do you use an IUD? Do you have any pain IN BETWEEN your periods, during ovulation? Do you have any burning or heat sensations in your lower abdomen, any burning when you pee? Is your urine cloudy or dark? How large was your ovarian cyst? This is not necessarily going to go away if it is over 4cm or so... DOM

  • i've never taken birth control pills before.. Yes about the pain during ovulation. I notice the ovarian cyst problem flares up whenever I seem to get a little more sexually active than usual. (my fiance and I were working on trying to make a baby) (b/c it happened last month too.. same symptoms.. minus the frequent urination.. just extremely bad pain on my right side.. which I knew was an ovarian cyst b/c I've had one before and know the symptoms) It doesn't burn when I pee but my vaginal opening feels really irritated that after I pee it feels like I have to go again and just discomfort.. (which has just recently stopped over the past few days) I don't remember how large the cyst was. This happened back in january.

  • You could have chlamydia or another std on top of your cyst. I think you need to get checked for it.

  • man here. but I can tell u of my wifes experiences. Don't let the cysts alarm u much, as they are very common. My wife had some bleeding problems due to fibroid tumors in the uterine wall. If fibroids are the culprit you could live with them for many years. my wife did for 20 years or more. they are benign but can cause a lot of discomfort around or before your cycle. also the extra bleeding can cause anemia(lack of iron). if they are small and just beginning, there are procedures being used that the gyno won't share with u because they like to cut. One is an embolization procedure where a catheter is inserted into a vein and little pellets placed to stop the blood supply feeding the tumors and will dry them up. this is done by a radiologist under x ray. her pain worsened to the point that a total hysterrectomy was needed. If a dr EVER suggests a drug(expensive) called lupron say NO>, it will lead you down the path to hysterectomy
