Hi, well lets try to keep this short about 3 months ago or so after having sex with my boyfriend I felt a burning sensation when i went to go urine, and then i would feel like i had to go but couldnt, so i assumed i had a UTI, went to the doctor she prescribed meds and whatnot.. well about 3 days later i broke out into a fever and had cramps back pains nausea so i went to the emergency room, they did a pelvic exam there and saw i had an inflamed cervix, she said i should immidiately make a follow up appt with my doctor for std tests for thats the main reason of an inflamed cervix, well I did everything came back negative, my doctor presribed me more meds which gave me a yeast infection, so thennn i took meds for that over the counter.. to make a long story short I went back to the doctor about a week ago and told her I still had the burning she said my cervix looked fine so it wasnt that this time, and prescribed me an oral tablet for a yeast infection, although i doubt i have one bc i have been taking them and nothings helping. I also might add sex is pretty painful for me and inbetween the time I went to my doctor 3 months ago and a week ago I havent had any kind of sex with my bf so I dont know about the condom allergy thing.. I just need advice on what to do bc this is putting a huge strain on my relationship and it depresses me they cant figure all this out! HELP!

  • Have your male friend go to the free STD clinic and get checked. Whatever he has, you have. Maybe the tests are not accurate. Try to go to the STD clinic with him and you both get checked at the same time. I do believe it's chlamydia http://www.revolutionhealth.com/conditions/stds/chlamydia/chlamydia?section=section_01You can find the clinic under county health department, or you can also both go to Planned Parenthood, but they will charge you..I would start over with the tests...don't take anything or do anything for this for a few days and then take your tests again..

  • they can come back as false negatives, unfortunately, and then you never get treated. make your boyfriend get checked...in the meantime, you could get relief from acupuncture but it would be a waste of money because you boyfriend would give it back to you..or you would make him use condoms after your acupuncture.

  • Sounds like pelvic inflammatory disease to me also. A friend of mine went through months and months of this stuff. Her husband swore he was not intimate with anyone else. It almost ruined her marriage. My friend was told bacteria in general can be the cause, it doesn't have to be chlamydia, etc. Some men are just not clean freaks before sex. This includes just washing their hands before they touch your genitals. And if your boyfriend gets dirty in his job (like a construction worker), take a shower first. Once this couple began soaping up before sex, her symptoms disappeared. And if your boyfriend is not understanding in all this, you may want to think about this relationship. Just my two cents.

Yeah but it can be caused by other things also........like miscarrage or abortions...................its very important to get this treated if it is this.... this is what could happen in rare cases.I carried a baby for 16wks but they said the baby stopped developing at 9 wks.......after they removed it.......i did not do well. I ended up very very ill, spent 4wks in hospital, blood pressure dropped to 30/40 i had gone into shock with poisons running through me......yes it was that close to killing me.....and it took along time to recover.....yes that is rare what happened to me but uve gotta look after urself. Until that happened to me id never even heard of it, i had gone to doctors but they kept sending me away saying nothing was wrong ! PID itself isn't rare but the way it hit me is.......im only telling u this so u take it seriously, that is worse case senario ! Just get further tests done plz.......good luck:)

I thought I would just clarify that. I am sorry for your loss.
