THIS IS A LONG STORY BUT I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP--THIS IS MONTHS WORTH OF PROBLEMS SO ITS ALOT OF DETAILED INFO.--
Im 20 years old and have never had problems with my periods or gyno issues. But in September, i missed a period and was having severe abdominal pain and had pain during sex. It was also the time i was due to have a paps so upon my visit to the Gyno, i asked my doctor about my missing period, my tummy pain and if she could do a pregnancy test on me!!! she did and the test was negative. She did the normal paps test and told me to get my blood test up to date. The paps hurt very bad when she performed it. She said my uterus was very swollen. And about the pain, she suggested a was just having ovulation pains.
A week later, a nurse calls back to tell me my pap is abnormal and my platelet count (blood test) was very elevated. She then scheduled my to re-take my blood test and to eventually come in and re-do my paps. My blood tests agian came back even higher!! The pain got worse and worse. Doctor performed a ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound to make sure there were no cysts or eptopic preg. NOTHING!! I seemed to have been calling the doc every week becuase my pain got worse everyday!! finally, i had a laporoscopy done....found my intestines were stuck together by forming scar tissue!! and my falopian tubes were irritated and blocked and I even had some internal bleeding!!
Its been 2 months now since the laporoscopy but the pain has not gotten any better!! Im still having pain during sex, and did i mention, right after my surgery, i bled for 2 solid weeks!! anways, I called my doc to report no change in pain...she said my uterus is still swollen and there wasnt much she could do!! she did say that she could put me on Lupron-and anti-hormone- and if the pain wasnt better in 6 months, we would talk 'hysterectomy'
Im seeing a complety differant doc in the morning to get a second opinion....what do you think? This has been going on for 6 months now and i still have no answers...ive been told cancer, endometriosis, ovulation pain and now i have even heard possiblities of a hysterectomy!! I NEED A DIAGNOSIS!!! HELP ME PLEASE!!
