About a week and a half ago, I recieved a call from my gyno telling me I tested positive for chlamydia. I've been completely faithful to my boyfriend of six months. He says he has had no symptoms (I had some bleeding after sex, burning when I went pee, etc...but I didnt feel anything until about a month ago) but that he will get tested. Before him, I felt perfectly fine. He says he thinks he might have gotten it from one of the women he was with before me. Since I've been diagnosed, I've been treated and feel a lot better. I finished my treatment this past Saturday and I have not had sex with him since I started my pills. Is it possible for him to just not have known for that long that he had it (would have been possibly a year or two prior to meeting me)? Or has he cheated? I need to know. I don't want to be with a man who cheats and puts me at risk because he just doesn't care about my health. He says he's going to go today to get tested, and I told him I'm going with him. I just need help =

  • Is it possible for him to just not have known for that long that he had it =You should read about Chlamydia on the net. 50% of men are asymptomatic - meaning they do not experience any symptoms when they have it. What is more scary, is 75% of women are asymptomatic as well.As you read more, you will also find that: Up to 40 percent of all girls between the ages of 15 and 19 are infected -- the highest chlamydia infection rate of any age group. ...So the answer is yes. He could have had it that long and not known it. He should have been tested the same time as you - and begun treatment if positive.

I just need help =I think it's possible for men to have little to no symptoms of clamydia. He may not have cheated. I hope everything turns out ok.
