Sexual disorder such as erectile dysfunction causes heart or cardiac diseases in men. ”Men suffering from sexual disorders are more prone to cardiac problems and chronic artery diseases. Every fifth erectile and ejaculation dysfunction patient is suffering from cardiac diseases.” This study was lately revealed by Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) on ”relationship between erectile dysfunction and cardiac dysfunction”. This news may sound shocking as erectile dysfunction is the common disease among men.
According to Dr Kim Mammen (Director, CMC), ”About three patients with erectile disease visit me every day with problems like erectile and ejaculation dysfunction, while 30% of them also suffered from cardiac and coronary diseases. The result of the study conducted by CMC was similar to that of an international study”. These results depict soon heart or cardiac diseases may become common among men suffering from erectile dysfunction. This altogether scares and seems that one disease invites the other one. It’s an alert for men suffering from erectile dysfunction as ED may become a sign for heart or cardiac disease into their life at a later stage. Furthermore he added, ”According to the study, 70% of the cardiac patients suffer from erectile and ejaculation dysfunction and 30% of the patients of erectile and ejaculation dysfunction suffer from cardiac and coronary problems. Their age is above 30 years. The study aims at making doctors as well as public aware. Preventive measures can be taken to save oneself from cardiac diseases, while there were none to prevent erectile and ejaculation dysfunction”.
