I had sex with a girl and the condom came off as i pulled out. kissing was also involved but no oral sex. Around a week later i had a sore throat and a very irritated tongue, slightly bled on top. Went to the doc came back no strep but took antibiotics anyway and went away and felt fine. About 2 months later i was with the girl again no sex just touching kissing. Same thing happened any what it could have been ideas should i be worried.

  • I am wondering about the same thing. I had sex with a guy and we used a condom and there was kissing and all involved and then I started to get a scratchy throat a few days later. I used to get strep throat a lot when I was little so I thought thats what it might be and when I went to the doctor my strep test came back negative but they put me on antibiotics as well anyways. It got pretty bad but when away and now it is back but not as bad. I dont know what it wrong with me. I am not sure if it could be from the guy I was with or just a bad infection.

  • A person can get a clamydia sore throat. A lot of docs don't test for that. Very few culture the throat these days, which takes 3 days, and normally just do a quick strep test. There are probably other possiblities too.
