Red blotch on penis?

About 10 years ago I found a red blotch on my penis, I thought it was just a mark but then I noticed it bounced around a little. I went to visit the doctor because I was concerned it could be a STD. He tested me for herpes and said I didn't have it and that I was probably allergic to condoms. The problem is I'm married now and I don't use condoms anymore and I still have it.

I did some research online and found some pictures that looked like what I had and what they indicated was that it was a yeast infection. My father has Candida so I thought it made sense that maybe I had a form of that as well. I tried clotrimazole 1% and it didn't do much so I upgraded to Ketoconazole and the general area turned very red and then pealed. For several weeks I refrained from any sexual activity and eventually the redness went away but I could see the little red blotches just barely scattered around the top of my penis. I thought maybe it was ok and proceeded to have intercourse and now I have the entire top area red again. (I have gone through this cycle twice now over the last two months)

My problem is that I still have the red blotches(which I don't know what it is) and when I have sexual intercourse it becomes one GIANT red blotch of something else is that is happening. Can anyone help me?

My physician is a friend of the family and I really don't feel comfortable discussing this with her, I hope someone here can help me.*

If you are allergic to condoms, try non latex condoms and see what will happen. It usually is difficult to speak with someone that you know, but you he has to have patient doctor confidence.
