  • Hiya, I have rectoceles. alot of the time it doesn't bother me but during my last pregnancy it was really bad, I was diagnosed with it as when i got the urge to 'go' nothing would come out, i realised that there was a weakness 'inside' between my rectum and 'middle' lol wall, so it would bulge through in a big lump, it's quite hard to explain, this might help: http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic3325.htm I have to take 2 types of laxatives to keep me running as smooth as possible. hope this help KerryYou can also find detailed information of rectocele on wrongdiagnosis.comhttp://www.wrongdiagnosis.com/r/rectocele/intro.htm

  • Thank you for your reply. For the past 3-4yrs I've been having rectal pain that wakes me up at night and I have to take pain relievers and pace the floor until the pain subsides. The pain is worse when lying down. Just about 2 weeks ago I've had the bulge between the vagina and rectum when trying to have a bowel movement and I have to push in between the area to be able to expel all of the movement. When I strain , its like its being pushed against a wall. I guess it is, its being pushed between the vagina and rectum and it will not exit without my help. This is about the most awful thing. I am so embarassed to talk to my Dr. but I guess I need to. I know something is not right. I've gotten all of my info. from the internet. Thank god for it. At least I know What to tell the Dr. now. Thank you so much for your info.:)
