Rape and unexplainable irregular discharge

Hello,
I have been having abnormal discharge for some time now. I was raped a year ago or so and ever since have been having problems. I have been repeatedly tested and have only a strain of HPV (a strain linked to cervical cancer) However, I have an excess amount of candida yeast in my body and bounce back from having yeast infections and bacterial infections. I started eating well and that has helped greatly. However, I was having a milky white discharge, not like yeast infection discharge, and so I have started taking a probiotic yogurt called Bio-K plus. The first few days it lessened the discharge, but now it is getting heavier again (after maybe 5-7 days of one bottle of the yogurt) and has changed to a dark brownish color. It doesn't really smell horrible but it makes me feel very uncomfortable (as far as my mental state goes) and is a great emotional stress I am constantly carrying, wondering what the color and consistency will be like every day, and generally just wondering what is wrong with me and why neither the doctors nor I can figure it out. I am open to any and every advice, insightful eyes, or words of wisdom. Thank you all greatly!

  • Monsterlove, I have been told that the hpv is not treatable other than by taking care of my body and hoping it catches it...

  • Please see another doctor; as long as you have an abnormal pap due to the hpv, it could be doing this. Since this is also an emotional experience, I would explain to the doctor that you prefer to have the hpv treated (freezing it off), so you can begin your healing experience. As long as you have the discharge, you will be reminded of the experience and if there is a treatment that may help, a doctor could consider freezing. It seems that they make you wait a couple of years and then eventually treat it. I don't understand their logic, but maybe you can find someone who will treat it. http://www.avert.org/genital-warts.htm

  • -.-; Mosterlove - you're like... 50000000000000mi off course on diagnosis.HPV is this wonderous little thing that can do one of two things.1) give you cervical cancer one day in it's 4-5 yr lifespan of being in your system2) give you genital warts within those years*3) it can do.. nothing! woo hooBut anyway, the weird discharge can happen for no apparent reason (I've had one since puberty) or it can happen due to an infection. Judging by the fact it's miscolored, I'd go with an ovarian cyst infection and possibly PID. Ovarian cysts can rupture and burst, causing whatever was in them to try and get out of your body. However, your ovaries/cervix doesn't exactly like to just chuck things out of it nonchalantly, so the materials could of gotten trapped and then started to deteriorate inside you. The discharge would start as your body's attempt to get that out of you, which is also why the discharge is brown. (THIS MATERIAL CAN ONLY BE REMOVED BY YOUR OBGYN, NOT YOU - DO NOT ATTEMPT)However, once the discoloration is gone, try a pill of claratin once a day. (discoloration = infection***; normal clear/maybe white = okay). It will clear up the discharge or at least put a dent in it.

  • If you're getting a white discharge, it could be Bacterial Vaginosis...Try taking Femdophilus. It works really well to completely get rid of discharge (way better than yoghurt!)
