I am 9 weeks pregnant and had my first ultrasound on Tuesday (06/30). They couldn't find (hear or see) a heartbeat with a transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound but they said that everything else-gestational sac (size), uterus, & yolk sac- looks good. I came in for another u/s yesterday (07/03) and it was pretty much the same-no heartbeat and blood flow- BUT they said that the baby grew and is now 2.5cm. the doc said that he's 99% sure that the baby's gone since at at least 1cm he should be able to find the heartbeat, no problem. and since he can't find my baby's heartbeat he said that he's pretty sure that it had died.
Would it be possible for the baby to still be alive since it's growing or is it somewhat normal for it to grow even w/o a heartbeat and blood flow?
I am also still having pregnancy symptoms such as nauseousness and sore boobs. The doc said that i should miscarry naturally within a week or so but if i'm still not and i'm having those pg symptoms then i should get a second opinion.
