Phimosis? in non-virgin

My foreskin has stopped retracting. I'm 43, far from being a virgin and never had a problem before. It's only painful if I try to retract it. It's only just happened gradually over the last few weeks. Have tried warm baths, lubricating oil etc. but it's clear that there's just not enough stretch on the skin. It's made sex impossible. Any advice before I approach our GP? Getting an appointment at the moment is almost impossible.
