  • Yes it is possible. Some women do have their periods during pregnancy, but it is not as common.

  • I've known people who had their period during pregnancy with no problems.I'm sure your OB has checked your progesterone levels but just check in with your OB to be sure. Sometimes if you have low progesterone during your pregnancy you might bleed. I had this during my pregnancy and I had to use progesterone suppositories to stop the bleeding.

  • yes, and 4 negative preganacy tests over a span of 3 months, found out at 5 months i was pregnant with twinsI am sort of wondering the same thing? My sister tested negative for her pregnancy over and over again, home urine tests and blood tests in the doctor's office (she didn't have a period) butthey kept telling her no you're not pregnant. She begged for an ultrasound and finally got in for one and there was her now 8 year old daughter a 14 week old fetus. NowI keep havingmy period (only it's changed after 20 years of regular 28 days cycle 5 days flow to 25 days 4 day flow in the last three cycles) and I have put on 10 lbs during this time. I do a home pregnancy test just to be certain and it's negative...I feel like I am paranoid...but you hear stories of people delivery in a public washroom somewhere saying they didn't know they were pregnant... I really wish doctor's would tell us it is possible to have regular bleeding or it's possible to be pregnant an have a negative show on the pregnancy test; not knowing is a difficult and perhaps if doctors would check a little bit deeper when a woman says 'I just know somethings different' maybe some miscarriages or low birth weight babies etc wouldn't occur.

  • I am experiencing something similar. My period was a week late and then it was really light...almost nonexistent. I've gone from sleeping 7-8 hours to sleeping every chance I get. I have no appetite, but yet still I'm gaining weight and I'm nauseous almost all the time. Plus can't forget that cramping feeling in my lower abdomen. Everyone keeps asking me if I am pregnant, but I assure them that I'm not. Everyone says get a test, but I say I had a period (leaving out the fact that it was not normal/late at all). I don't really know what to do at this point...wait for next month's period to see if it's normal?

  • You guys it is possible for you to have your period during pregnancy, it's not often it happens but like always there are the unique people out there it happens to.. You also need to know that pregnancy tests don't always read correctly.. as one woman stated above, she didn't find out until 5 months that she was pregnant. I reccomend talking to your doctor, and if anything, for your peace of mind, see about getting an ultrasound? If nothing's there, well, there could be something else going on.. and if there's a wonderful bundle of joy laying in wait.. well, congratulations! Now you know.

  • I am having a similar experience. Having all the pregnancy symptoms especially implantation pain - pulling and tugging and gnawing sensations - I thought I was having implantation bleeding but sometimes it looked like a period and I was surprised. My gynae recognises that I am having positive signs of pregnancy, but says that the signs of periods mean that the negative blood tests mean I am not pregnant. He ran some blood tests to prove to me that I am having a false pregnancy and it's all in my imagination, "you've just got a hormonal imbalance" ... but the test results do not prove his hypothesis and it took him 2 weeks to tell me that. It is really confusing. A friend of mine told me that her last pregnancy at age 38 was like this - she had periods and was only diagnosed at 5 months - I don't want to ignore my signs and symptoms because I know I did not imagine them. and it is encouraging that we have proof it is not a false pregnancy! hope springs eternal!

Dizziness 6 days after ovulation - first nausea one week to the day after and then every day from then. 'Pull and tug' of implantation two weeks to the day after ovulation - I first felt the muscle strain and pulling while I was actually bleeding like a period! Can you believe it!!!??? That continued every day afterwards. Some times the pulling comes with a coldness/cold feeling or with nausea - sometimes also feel light pangs or brief stabbing sensations. pain in kidneys if I don't drink enough - at least 4 litres per day - doubled from 1 or 2 - I also had the shrivelled mucus, metallic taste in mouth, bubbling all the time, that goes with pulling too I've discovered - but also with ovulation ... bugger! The bleeding is different - very intermittent and there is lots of mucus and water in it - totally unlike my usual periods - it's totally crazy - also, my pregnancy symptoms increase and intensify after the periods - I like to call them bleeds because they are so different from the norm. Hope this helps... hugs and good wishes to anyone who is going through this.
