I had a hysterectomy in Jan. 09. There were alot of complications (3 large blood clots in abdomine w/ smallest being 2 1/2 cups and a bladder laceration). I had ua in Nov. b/c I was wanting to try chantix and it was normal.

In Jan. 2010 I started having alot of pelvic pain and it hurt to pee so I thought I had a uti. Went to the dr. Didn't have a uti but had blood in my urine. I saw a urologist and he did a ct urogram and looked inside my bladder. Both tests were fine. He said not to worry about it since those 2 tests come back ok.

Well I still hurt and confused. Does anyone know what could cause blood in urine to just magically appear? It doesn't make since. I've never had this before and given my previous complications, I'm worried. I still have my ovaries but if there was a cyst I figured it would have shown up on the ct scan.

The infection may be in kidney or the ureters which may cause you to have hematuria.

  • Thanks. I will talk to my doctor about doing that. I'm surpised he didn't order them tests. He didn't even do bloodwork. Just shoved a camara in my bladder and the ct urogram. He did say that my urethra opening is narrow but didn't say anything else about it.
