Hello, i am a 21 year old male from connecticut. about 5 months ago on january 26th I had unprotected sex with a close friend of mine. The very next morning my penis started to itch and burn. It burned during urination, and hurt all throughout the day. The pain stayed for about a month, then went away for approximately 2 days. Then it came back stronger than ever. Personally, i do not feel like i have given my penis time to rest, but i don't know how long i have to wait for it to rest before i can go back to being sexually normal again. I fear that i may go impotent and my ejaculations have been premature since. I worried about it so much that i even had to be hospitalized for mental health issues for 5 days. but from what i have been told and through all the tests i have taken and all the doctors i have seen to remedy my situation, they all have told me that "focusing on the pain will make it worse". Unfortunately for me, the pain never goes away regardless of whether i focus on it or not. Not focusing on it just makes me focus on something else. What it doesn't do, however, is make the pain go away. What i mean by this is that even if i focus on something else the pain is still there, however, it doesn't "hurt" because i am not thinking about it, even though it is still apparent when i am not thinking about it (it is a complex issue and hopefully that sentence makes sense to some) . No doctor or urologist wants to make a fair assessment on what it could possibly be and all the remedies i have tried (uristat, patience, patience... patience... anxiety medication, hospitilization) have not worked even the slightest. I wake up in the mornings with wetness around the cloth in my groin area and when i clench my PC muscle it feels like urine is literally figuring out whether it wants to stay in my bladder or come out, stinging my urethra inside the base of my penis. The pain shoots from the right side of my penis all the way down the shaft and itches at the head, shaft, base and pains in the muscles where my pubic hair grows above my penis and a couple of inches below the belly button. I have had numerous tests done including a telescope shoved in my urethra all the way down into my prostate and bladder, i have had my colon checked, i have had just about every doctor in central connecticut check me out (which is an exaggeration but i have seen doctors at least 50-60 times in the past few months). I have read into this and researched many forums and read many articles on the possibilities of what I might have and have found that many men experience similar issues, some of which are virgins. It is unfortunate, then, that this problem seems to be so common, and yet there isn't a doctor out there willing to give me a proper diagnosis. The pain doesn't bother me as much as not knowing what i have. during my most recent visit with a doctor he told me i was "perfectly normal" after my std test came back negative, which was approximately a month ago. The girl also got tested and was negative. I am a mess, and this has made my life a living ***l. somebody please tell me what is wrong with me and if there is light at the end of the tunnel. i can't stop crying, i don't feel like a man anymore, and this problem has destroyed my love life and 22nd year of existence. If there is anything anyone can tell me about this that may be able to help me, i would be greatly appreciative.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
