I found out I am pregnant yesterday...5 weeks. It should be a happy time but I have been plagued with ocassional mucus and what looks like pus in my stool on and off for 12 mos...seems to come and go but I am having a bad time the last 3 weeks. I went to the GI doc 3 weeks ago and they recommended I change my diet and add fiber. Not sure if it was better or worse so I stopped it. They want to do a colonscopy if I am not pregnant. well, my OB says no now but what do I do in the meantime? I would rather be alive without a baby than dead...I am scared and not sure what to do....I never see blood, my CBC was normal last week as was a sed rate and I was tested a year ago when I first noticed this after a trip to the Dominican...negative for Celiac Sprue, Cytomegalovirus, HPylori, Gonorrhea and Chlmaydia and Ova and parasites. I do have a Herpes diagnosis which also came about one year ago at the same time as the first mucus episode. I have always had a sensitive stomach at times to milk products like ice cream and some cheeses which I have been avoiding the ice cream but still drink milk and eat cheese. Not sure what else to do.Reply Follow This Thread Stop Following This Thread Flag this Discussion
