Need holiday help with periods

I go away in a couple of weeks for my holidays trouble is whilst I'm away I'm going to be on my period, which I suffer with really bad cramping and flooding. I could take Norethisterone which I've heard that I would get from my Doctor and would delay my period but when I come home I have to have a hysteroscopy this is because of my period problems so I don't want to delay my period and then be flooding whilst having my hysteroscopy as that would be just my luck but if I had the period on holiday I wouldn't have to worry about it when I come home.

I am only really extreme heavy and cramping for usually two days the other days mild cramping and medium flow.

Has anyone got any advice how I can cope these two horrible days, is there anything I could take? I don't want it to spoil my holiday.
