OK, this is lengthy, but I am frustrated and wanting to get this figured out.
I was diagnosed in '95 with PCOS, borderline endometriosis, hirsutism, and of course obesity. I have been on Spironolactone and Birth Control since then. In 2000 I was put on Glucophage to help with symptoms of PCOS. In 2003 I was diagnosed with Diabetes and have been struggline with it ever since. I take 1000mg of Glucophage every day, and still my sugar is unchanged. It is in the 200's in the morning, but 130's by lunch, and stays around 150 all day. I have not had "sugar" in months, and still no change.
I have heard from different sources that PCOS and hirsutism can also include symptoms of Diabetes, but I am having a hard time finding more substantial info.
I am going to try to find a new unbiased Doctor, since my OB-GYN that I've had since '95 is only concentrating on Diabetes. I just feel like there's something she's missing, but I need help proving it. If anyone else has info I'd greatly appreciate it. Please feel free to email me at email@example.com.
